Course Overview:
This introductory course, designed in response to feedback from our customers covers all the basic elements in relation to Temporary Pacing. Using a combination of lectures and practical exercises it aims to achieve an understanding of the related physiology as well as the clinical elements of Temporary Cardiac Pacing. Basic Cardiac Rhythm Analysis

Course Overview:
This is an incisive foundation level course, particularly suitable for those using bedside or telemetry monitoring. The focus of this course is rhythm recognition and interpretation, it includes a practical workshop to consolidate the knowledge gained. This course contains an informative session on anatomy and physiology of the heart including the electrophysiology of the myocardium. It provides extensive training on Cardiac Rhythm analysis.
This course also covers in great detail abnormal atrial rhythms, abnormal ventricular rhythms, and atrio-ventricular blocks in great detail.
Candidates will practice their skills through a workshop session in the afternoon, which proves very popular.
This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in cardiac rhythm analysis or for newly appointed staff Medical/ Nursing to a Cardiac ward or Coronary Care Unit. Many Cardiac Physiologists also attend our courses and have found it helpful in preparation for their exams.

Course:
Introduction to 12 Lead ECG

Course Overview:
A foundation level course designed for nurses, technicians or doctors. The course focuses on good ECG technique and the recognition of cardiac ischaemia or myocardial infarction. Also included is a practical workshop to practice technique and interpretation of the 12 lead ECG.
This course de-mystifies the 12 lead ECG. Candidates complete the course with a greater ease to assist them in clinical practice. During the course myocardium is covered including the electrophysiology also looking at Cardiac Rhythm analysis skills. An extensive part of the course explains Acute Coronary Syndromes in detail including identification of same on ECG. How the 12 lead recordings are derived is explained in detail, this assists greatly to understanding ECGs.
This course can be tailored to the ability of the candidates including more advanced aspects of Myocardial Infarction including Right Sided Ventricular involvement.
The above course is suitable for anyone who has an interest in understanding 12 LEAD ecg and effectively diagnosing infarction or ischaemia.

Conduction Defects & Other Interesting ECGs

Course Overview:
This course is designed as a follow on from the foundation courses. It focuses on the conduction of disorders such as Right and Left Bundle branch block and other advanced concepts. This is a challenging and enjoyable course for clinical people who want more from cardiology. Often attended by Nurses who have extensive knowledge and background and who want to learn more advanced concepts. Bundle branch blocks are explained and demystified, they are taught in a systematically and simple way. Candidates complete the course with the skills necessary to share with others and to understand the concept.
Bifasicular Blocks are covered in detail. Other interesting ECGs cover the newer and more advanced ECGs including long QT Syndrome.
This course is attended by Cardiac Physiologists who find them extremely helpful in preparation for their exams.
